Chicago is a key market for Honda and the African American audience. We carefully selected influencers with cache in the community, but also had a story that would resonate across national markets. The Merricks were the perfect embodiment of individuals on the cusp of greatness, but who were also still reaching back and pulling up others in the community. Their content proved to be so popular that our once regional-only campaign evolved into a national brand and national dealer campaign, featuring digital, radio and POP extensions.
